Ket-A-Xyl®
Anesthesia induction - Combination of anesthetic, tranquilizer and anticholinergic
Injectable SolutionKetamine (hydrochloride) 100 mg, Xylazine (hydrochloride) 20 mg, Atropine sulfate (monohydrate) 1 mg, excipients q.s. ad 1 mL.
The combination of ketamine, xylazine and atropine offers a better anesthetic result reducing the side effects. It is indicated in the induction and maintenance of anesthesia in dogs, in surgical procedures such as ovariectomy, castration, cesarean delivery, operations in abdominal cavity, dental extractions, eye operations, among others. The addition of Atropine prevents the increase of salivation and other excessive secretions, avoids laryngeal spasm during endotracheal intubation and prevents bradycardic effects of ketamine.
